Comic book cover parodies

Here are a few of my comic book cover parodies which were all created on the computer. In this first series I have done 145 of them. Projects like these are a great way to learn how to create on the computer using Photoshop.

Cartoons for Gloria's blogs

My lady friend, Gloria, has two interesting blogs, Romance after 50 and The romance game. Go to my links and click on them if you want to have a look. She asked me to do a few cartoons to add some color and design interest to her blogs. You can see others on my blog harryborgmanart.blogspot.com.

These drawings were all done with a brush and ink, then scanned into the computer where the color and type was added.

What every artist should do

ChallengeYourself

Artists must learn all the basics such as drawing, composition and color, but it's also important to experiment with new mediums and try oddball ideas. Creating art always entails growing and learning throughout one's career, an exciting experience. I find the computer to be an excellent medium for creating unusual concepts and is also a daily new learning opportunity with unlimited possibilities.

Experimental self portraits

Here are a few experiments that I did using my self portrait as a starting point. Originally I did this in a woodcut type of style which I felt was an interesting approach.

Here is the original art that I did for the portrait on my blogs. Below are a few interesting variations. See what fun you can have on the computer ?
