On my other blog, harryborgmanart.blogspot.com I am showing some artwork that I did illustrating a Dracula story. On this site I am posting a few of my recent comic book cover parodies that I did using the same art. These were all created on the computer using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

Having fun with Gloria

You've met Gloria before. Here is a recent photo of her in front of La Leche, a trendy new restaurant in Puerto Vallarts. Doesn't she look great !


Here's a digital portrait of her. She loves shoes and has a lot of them.


A couple of drawings I did for her promotion pieces. Gloria writes a couple of blogs, to check them out got to my LINKS and click on ROMANCE AFTER 50 and THE ROMANCE GAME. I draw some cartoons for her blogs, a few ar shown below.







Above is a poster I did promoting her book 50 WAYS TO FIND ROMANCE AFTER 50. Gloria was doing research on internet dating when she ran across my profile on Yahoo! Personals, we've been dating ever since.

My cats are happy I'm back !

Coming back home from a vacation is always interesting. My cats won't leave my side and follow me wherever I go. Iguess that they missed old dad. They also are very aware when I'm going to leave, the minute I bring out the luggage they get edgy. Here are a few of the comic strips I've done featuring Jpeg, Tiff and Laura.









I submitted my strips to Cat Fancy magazine but got no response. Below is my submission letter.

Back to Winter !

As usual, we had a great time in Puerto Vallarta. We always stay at the Fiesta Americana, our favorite hotel. My wife, Jeanne, and I had vacationed there since the mid '80s. Oddly enough, Gloria also spent a lot of time in PV, she's a writer and photographer and used to do some promotion for Las Tules, a time-share condo right next door to the Fiesta Americana. There are a vast number of photo and sketching possibilities in this area. Below is a shot of a river near the hotel.

Everywhere you look there are great picture possibilities.

More Art Therapy

A few more cartoons from my book ART THERAPY. These were first drawn with Pentel Sign Pen and then scanned and colored on the computer using Photoshop Elements 2.0













Coloring cartoons and other line art on the computer is easy and also a joy. It's much faster than adding color using traditional mediums. You can do two or three versions for evaluation purposes, a real advantage.
